4.5lb National PREORDER

This is a spot on my books for a 4.5lb National wedge banger with a 27" straight hickory handle. These are very popular among loggers and wildland firefighters. They have a very long poll that makes hitting wedges with easier and makes a 4.5lb axe hit like a 5+lb axe. These are micro dulled, so instead of being sharpened they have a small flat on the edge. This allows you to still chop wood, but not cut your hand or boot on accident. These are the worker axes of my lineup. My National has done everything from falling firs in oregon to digging my truck out of a mudhole to chopping nails in half.

NOTE: There will be variances between all axes. They are hand made and I do not grind the head to a template. These are not traced out and ground to shape. I make everything by eye so each axe is unique in it'sown way, but every axe follows the same design. If you don't want that, please do not order.
